ABOUT

Background

Max is originally from the Yorkshire Dales but moved down to London for drama school. In 2018, he graduated with 1st Class Hons from Acting - Collaborative and Devised Theatre at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.  


Since graduating Max has worked as an Actor, Theatre maker, Teacher, Director, Puppeteer working on screen and stage. He is a founding member of 'Pocket-Sized Theatre Collective' and the production company 'No Eye Deer'.


He has worked with companies such as BBC, BFI, Sonya Friedman The Wardrobe Ensemble, Hope Theatre, Tristan Bates, Out of Ink and Complicite Associates. 


Training


During Max’s training at The Central School he encountered the psycho-physical acting techniques of Michael Chekhov, Jaques Lecoq and Moshe FeldenKrais which have deeply influenced both Max’s acting and teaching practices. Key fellows Max trained under: Sinead Rushe, Catherine Alexander, Lucinka Eisler. As a Facilitator he trained at the Almeida (Intro to Facilliation) ran by Simon Stephens (participation producer) and also trained through The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama whilst working in their Outreach and Short Courses programs.
